Walk out is great. Little bit of snow for some traction. We've been getting the biggest crappie we've even caught in that lake. Should make for an interesting crappie derby should we have one.

Thanks! I was told by a co-worker that the fish like to hang out in the channel or the pond. I would assume that they like to move about regardless and sometimes like fishing in the spring and summer months you have to prospect.

Yep, they do move, I never, wait for them, if I don't see fish on my Vex or there to small, or sniffing to much I'm moving. I made 5 moves on Sunday before I found what I was looking for. If I didn't have plans that afternoon I would of stayed to dusk.

How did you make out sporty?

I managed 3 big crappie one smallmouth.
After I moved up to your neighborhood, fishing by bigal and slammin I marked allot of fish and had bites but just nibbles they are really light biting.
I had a big mark that was sniffing over and over I lowered the camera and saw it was a big eye I put a shiner on a #14 treble and he grabbed it and wrapped around my camera cord about 10 times and broke my line. Nice day to be out had fun with the wheeler.

That's why I stopped using the camera too many fish lost wrapping around it. It's good in scouting and checking out structure under the water.

Hey guys. I'm looking to try something different and maybe head down to Whitney point with my little brother this week and give it a go. Can anybody point me in the right GENERAL direction before I make the hour and a half drive? Not looking for anyone's coordinates or hot spots!! just looking to get set on the right foot before I make the trip! Thank you

Nice pics Sammie. Seems like I saw the fish pics last year, but whatever. Looks like you guys had a good time. Should have went with you guys instead, but it was more donuts, lunch meats and bait for us and less wear and tear on my auger :) My crew will be up there in a week or two once I recover from auger "injury" to show you how it's done

There is a road that runs along the lake on the west side. Turn onto Keibel Rd by the Sunoco. There's a couple areas there with access or park at Dorchester Park on the East side and gain access there.
