Fished Beaver Lake in Dexter yesterday and found the same thing. Marked a lot of lookers but only a few takers.

Pretty slow today at a county pond and at Black Hawk Lake; several big fish caught but mostly lots of sniffers.  Both places were also pretty cloudy/murky as well.  The best bite was on the smallest jig I had to offer.

Yep, stained water from the runoff had the fish on FIRE. Fresh water, bugs and larvae stirred up, and the snow taken off the ice had them in a feeding frenzy. Best bluegill bite I've ever seen, 75 in 30 minutes with 35 keepers (8-9").. didnt have long to fish unfortunately.

Thanks for replies, I was wondering about the run-off. Fish were on hold for us

I hope it clears up soon
