just wanted to let everyone know i sent my lx3 in for the t/c upgrade. cost $49.00. i sent the unit to marcum on a thursday and the following thursday it was returned to me. if you ask me thats service one week turnaround and the price include the return shipping.

Is that the same one that is being offered for the members only special or is the upgrade an extra feature you could add to it? Just curious because I'm still deciding between a few finder/flasher of flashers even though I have been leaning towrd and kind of set on a X67c. It depends on what kind of deal is worth the price.

FF, That is an upgrade. You can send in your existing LX-3 and get the (TC) True Color upgrade. The members only special is for the purchase of a reconditioned flasher with it already upgraded.

gw the LX-3 does have the three color display. The upgrade is for the new TrueColor display. It's supposed to improve color seperation and give a crisp and more visible display.

Genzworm if your lx-3 has the colour green showing up then the tc upgrade has already been done but if it shows the colours yellow orange red then it hasn't been done . The TC system uses 3 separate bulbs to reach 3 colours while the former system used 2 bulbs and blended them to reach 3 colours .

Last year they had them for $290 including shipping, so I'm glad I got mine then!

Just wanted to spread the word....www.ThorneBros .com currently has a 5% savings credit to the 479.99 LX-5. It's not advertised, and you won't see the credit until you click "add to cart". It comes out to 455.99. That's about the cheapest I've seen for a brand-new one. I just bought one. 8)
