Fixing your ice shanty
« on: Mar 07, 2006, 08:15 PM »
Does anyone out there have any advice on fixing cracks in the bottom plastic of ice shanties? Bought a used one that needs some repair. Not quite sure what method to use.

                                                   Thanks

put some new plastic on the inside and drill yourself some holes then add rivets. utes

I know they make rubber patches for ponds which are made out of the same material as the sleds.  It usually comes in a roll and you cut to size and roll all the air bubbles out.  Not the nicest looking repair but it will seal any cracks you have

  Thanks guys,
Is there anything else out there available besides rubber? I would think some kind of epoxy or equal would be available instead of actually putting down a new floor and drilling holes in it.

                                      Still curious,
