seems like the fish i love to catch the most (crappie) is the fish i catch the least ;D ;D prolly just like if shooting a deer was easy it wouldn't be as fun

Since Icefishing is my LOVE,this will be easy.I love to catch slab crappies.Lost potential state record that wouldn't come through a 4 inch hole.When I tried to "lip" him,the teardrop pulled out.To see him turn and dive for the bottom was heartbreaking.Num.2. Bluegills...3. Waldo's4,Big Pike and 5. any kind of trout.Lost a huge steelhead on Sandy Pond few years back.On a Hali no less and fought me for 20 minutes before the hook straightend out.Cheap old hooks.But like most of you I enjoy being out there.Have fished in -25 to 50 degrees with the water splashing on me from high wind.Before I had children,we would put boards and ladders on edge ice just to get out..boy those were the days..Peace  BigD  Invite a crappie home for a hot oil bath...yummy! @)

Walleyes are my favorite, any time of year. Nothing says "I love you" like some golden brown walleye fillets. Big perch and crappies are cool because that's all that's around in the lakes I ice fish....Sure would love to catch a big brown or pike thru the ice tho...Gotta be fun!

PERCH ARE FUN TO FISH 4 ALL DAY  BUT THE WALLEYE AT DAWN / DUSK IS THE IS WHAT CALLS TO ME THE MOST  JUST HAPPY TO HAVE THAT DAY ON THE ICE  :tipup:
