I guess I will have to leave it to the experts and do the same. Seems like it might be something with the little spring.

My 21 year old Jiffy Model 30 was layed to rest last season.  It finally gave out on me after years of not skipping a beat.  Seeing it lasted 21 years made it really easy to choose a Jiffy again.

I have two old jiffys one all original my grandfather gave me just gotta put a new clutch in it and that was bought new at the joy store in the early 70s the other is a late 70s or early 80s that was given to me by a coworker who had it ten years and never started it but is my go to both are tough I just got a jet sled forget carrying them any more I wouldn't trade either one for a new auger of any brand model 30 jiffys are the kings
jiffy model 30 the only ice auger because the bells and wissles wont  cut ice.

Joys.......I miss that store! I once bought an ice fishing tent there before "portables" were even popular!

I have an old model 76 that I got from a coworker two years ago. Not sure what year it is. Still runs pretty good. I wouldlove to get the new propane model, but this one is still going. It seems to be a little smaller powerhead, but get the job done. Just not quite as fast.
