When r we getting first ice in SD?

I think first ice will be Nov 22 on Roubaix.  Dec 12 for Orman.   What do you think?

No way for the 12th on Orman.  I'd bet Christmas or later for GOOD ice.  Shaky stuff a bit sooner.  Water temp is super warm out there still.

Different state - but I'm calling for mid November for the smaller lakes up here (Northwestern ND). Big lake I'm thinkin mid December for some of the good stuff.

I'll be very happy if we are on the ice here by the first week in December. Last year we were walking out on December 5th. I hope mother nature cooperates again this year.

West end "should be fishable if you know where to go,but be careful.... I have some ponds full of pan fish that will be ready to go near Mitchell.... Should be 3 in. + by sat. AM

I  was at Lake Yankton today checking it out,looked like about 1 1/2 in but had some pockets that were thinner should be strong enough in a week or so if the weather holds

yeah we must have saw u out there...we check one of ur holes....and was surprised at how much ice was out there....did u catch n e thing?rezrunner wat kind of shack do u have?im originally from yankton but im going to school in mitchell....i have a homemade pop up thats blue and green i was out on lake yankton and the marina a lot last winter with it....let me know how that ice is doin on lake yankton and the marina....possible coming home for xmas so im pretty excited...

Got my limit of gills this morning, they were there from 6:45 till I left at 10:30. Chasers mostly,then one would show up and nail it almost as fast as he showed up. I went back out tonight, they were alot more aggressive. Once this front moves on they will go nuts,be ready. What kind of equipment you got? flasher will help ALOT.If you dont have one,I usually hava a spare along you can borrow as long as my GF is not along.. I am driving a grey/blk suburban or a silver Cobalt....stop down and say howdy...

ya ya im just jealous wat can i say....i dont have an auger yet ive always had a buddy who had one but i guess my parents are gettin me one for xmas im excited then ill have my shack up here too....but i gotta fix that yet too which kinda sucks but will be fun at the same time....i drive a blue gmc sierra extended cab so yeah i prolly wont do much fishin until i get my auger i guess but ill be alright its only a month i guess haha
