Ridgid Li Ion vs 'Hyper'
« on: Jan 31, 2022, 07:16 PM »
Hi folks,

HD.ca has what seems to be a great deal on a set of 18v batts. However these are just labelled as Li-Ion, not "Hyper Lithion" Is there a significan diff between the 2 or is it mostly just "Hype"---TIA

I haven't noticed a difference in use so far.  I have a few of the 'hyper' batteries that came with a kit I purchased a few years ago, and picked up some new 4ah batteries with a different tool this year.  Didn't even notice they weren't branded 'hyper'.

I picked up the 2 pak of 4aH batteries before Christmas for 99 bucks.
Things I notice, the plastic is different, they dont fit the tools tight- wiggle around
and in general look much "cheaper". The good, I been using one on my drill and 8"strikemaster auger
and they hold up well. I drilled 30+ 8" holes the other day in 12" of ice and it still showed 3/4 of a full charge left.
So, they seem to OK stuff! :)
Get bit!
