Devils Lake Guides
« on: Dec 13, 2004, 04:00 PM »
I'm planning on taking my Son Ice Fishing on Devils Lake this Winter.  Since we've never been there before I'd like to hire a local guide.  Can anybody recommend a good one?  Any other advice for a first time visitor to the lake?

Well these guys are probably the best you will find, period- The Perch Patrol.  Check out their website, I believe it is www.perchpatrol.net.  I don't know the going price for a guide at all, but obviously I am sure they are more expensive than others.  Everything is provided though, Trap, Vex, etc.  I don't know what you are looking at bringing, but I'd go with them for my first time.  I am sure there are plenty of decent guides out there though.

Jeff Dosch is also very good, but Dave Tronson of the perch patrol is the 2nd best ice fisherman I've ever seen.

www.doschguides.com is Jeff's web site

Here is a good list to look at, but from what I have seen looking at all their websites, Dosch or the PP look the best.  Hope you have agood trip.
