Bolt, nut, and washers on both ends. Then grind off the end of the bolt if needed so it doesn't interfere with your rod. (head of bolt inside the bucket). Use silicone sealer on the bolt before tightening to make it waterproof.

I made this one out of golf bag tubes. They are secured to the bucket with zip ties. Light and easy to work with. Holds 12 rods.

I used PVC on the outside of my 5gal bucket. I drilled some holes and attached with zip ties. I saw a post on a thread a while back where a guy had used pipe straps (the horse shoe looking fasteners used to attack pipes to walls etc.) and it was a much cleaner and simpler design. He just stuck them on with bolts. If I make another bucket I will definitely be using that method. But for now my PVC with zip ties is working fine for me.
It doesn't sound that appealing to most people I talk to, but going out onto a frozen lake and staring into a hole for the day is my favorite thing to do.

Attaching to the outside leaves the bucket interior available for more gear. Slot the PVC or ABS to receive the reel stem and they’ll stay in place.

A bad day of ice fishing is better than any day at work!
