A day on the ice with AirManCam
«

Heres a few pics of a new spot we fished blind today.
#1 of the day, Me with a little guy around 24"
#2 of the day, Airman with a little one about 24"
#3 of the day, Airman with a 4 pound Hawg
#4 of the day, ME WITH THE NEW STATE RECORD PERCH!!!
#5 of the day, Me with a decent 8 pounder
For the grand finale... Airman with his busted rod... after an 1-1/2 hour long battle
with the unknown until the rod finally snapped. Unreal fight
The day started out BAD and decided to just setup here even though we never fished it or
knew anything about this section.
Always a good time with Airman...

Airman is my hero, even though it appears that he is my junior by about 20 years. I never learned to fish pike the way he has, but I do hope to get better at it, now that I have less time to do it. I have read a lot of his posts. For all of you young single guys that love to ice fish, get as many days on the ice as you can before family or other obligations limit your outings. trust me on this. I will not be back to a hard core go any time ice fisherman until I am at least 57 years old ( 14 years away ).

lol, thanks guys. I would say the more I pike fish, the more addicted I become, and could probably care less to fish for anything else. I think its probably because I don't eat fish, I just do it for the excitement, and to me, theres no other fish like a big northern! Actually HP, I got that hat at american eagle last year. But as you guys all know, I have plenty of lucky hats in my arsonal :-)

THanks guys for the comments
I can say the same. I LOVE TO PIKE FISH. That is what got me into Ice Fishing 3 Seasons ago. I always wanted to catch a big Northern and a lot of people told me I had a better chance through the ice. So I started Ice fishing and addicted I became. I have open water fished all my life and LOVE IT, but with out a doubt I can say I would give that all up to hard water fish ANY DAY!
Airman and I met last year through a mutual friend. He only lives minutes from me and we became friends. He is a good guy and a good sportsman so even though he is almost 15 years younger than me, he is like a kid bro. Real fun guy to hang and fish with.
