Fished today was really slow brought back 20 perch 8-10” range no pike though.

The rod is a " 13 fishing Wicked"  rod.. i think its a 28" medium action.. nice sensitive tip down to a solid backbone.. its a sweet rod very sensitive yet powerful.

The reel is an Okuma Stratus 25 reel.. i like a full size reel for jigging walleyes. They run large up here ; )

Thanks. Yeah hit the lower lake prob hit the upper tomorrow.  Then have to head back unfortunately but looks like we will have ice by next weekend with the cold weather hitting.

I use them for eyes a lot when they are up shollow feeding.  No bait need with them either.

Well i got a little ambitous and tried a spot last night.. i was getting 3-4" when all of a sudden down i go. Over 18ft of water.. luckily not much more then my legs got wet.. i was able to get back up on top immediately.. be careful. Snow and slush = soft/thin spots..

Glad you made it out okay? Did you have a spud? With this cold spell i would have been less likely to have mine

I did have a spud. We checked out carefuly and the ice was very steady. So we started drilling out, srill checking, everything was fine. Holes are cut.. i was going to set a tipup and down i go. So it was the 3rd time i walked over the spot. You just nwver know
