Goody luck Let me know when you come back to the north country.

Think I'll be up end of Feb or early March.   Just started to get good ice now 4 days in the 50s might have to restart.  Been a weird winter.  Might travel up to Oneida this weekend if ice is still good there.

Looks like it's gonna cool off for a week or two after this warm spell. Then it's looking like 40's through the rest of Feb and March. Get it in boys there may only be a few weeks left.

Hoping for good ice Presidents Day Weekend.  It's my last shot at an ice fishing trip this year.  This winter has been the worst.

This winter or lack thereof has been bad for most, although I did get to ice my limit of slab crappies and catch my PB 16" crappie that's going on the wall!!  Now if I could locate a nice walleye to go with it😉

Yeah, think I'll cancel my fishing this weekend.  No sense taking 3 boys out when there could be weak spots.  Next weekend should be much better.

That's an understatement lol. On a positive note, it should take care of all the snow on the ice.

I'll be walleye fishing in the burg out of the boat for the last week of the season I'm willing to bet.

I'll be on your side of that bet!  Been there, done that.   @)  Had a city worker push the ice out of the launch with a backhoe.  May not even need that this year.  :o

Not much choice for public access to Black Lake.  State Boat Launch (poor fishing and a long ways to decent fishing); Rollaway Bay, can be decent fishing and is an easy walk from the access.  Youi can get a Fishing Hotspots Map in the local stores that has some good info.

Thanks fellas. Heard mixed things about Meachum, including health advisories.

Any body know where to get bait (minnows) around Lake Ozonia, I believe the name of the closest town is Hopkinton.

Appreciate the response.

If going into lower Saranac right as you get out of A bay, be careful of pressure crack. Almost watched a guy fall through on foot toady.

Have fished wilson hill a few times this year caught some nice pike and a few dozen keeper perch the ice there was in good shape when i drove by yesterday.... Little bit of standing water at the boat launch..... Coles creek has had very few people on it this year as the wind has prevented good ice formation.... May try wilson hill tomorrow myself .....
