Last couple days havnt been very good for me. Today was exceptionaly poor. I have been fishing a spot that usually treats me well on size not numbers. Hopefully tomorrow or friday it will crack open.

Perch bite was not good for me this morning started of with a few right off the bat and things went down hill fast...... Seemed like good weather conditions with snow and a southwest wind but at least it was not below zero..... Hopefully my luck changes for our chaumont bay trip this weekend.....

Anyone coming down for the tupper derby, if your coming through colton and need bait, Whites General Store has medium size pike shiners, and sometimes medium/large suckers unless he gets bought out of them.

How did the Tupper Lake Derby go?  Big fish?  Big crowd?  Was not so nice weather-wise.

Yea a 16 was biggest. Followed by 11 I think a couple 9's and the rest went down from there. Last hour had a 2.5 lber win. Weather wasn't to bad. Light snow all day but temps werent too bad and wind was tolerable. Was pretty good turnout. 925+

Most of my spots are a long long walk or buggy ride, with this snow the buggy aint going through it and I am in good shape but can't pull a sled full of gear in this snow.

Been playing around with Waldo's on the big river a lil bit on the weekends. Lots of shorts and rather slow last weekend. Hopefully this weekend will be a lil different.  :)

My Biggest worry is that when I'm dead and gone, my wife will sell my gear for what i said i paid for it.

17.2 measured weighed and slid back into the river. 39.5" should put you bout 15.5-16 pounds. Def could get a 17 if it was good andsolid. (Just from my experience)

Been having tough luck on the St.Lawrence this year.  Spots that have produced in the past are not nearly as fertile for Pike.  Fishing pretty much most weekends on the St.Lawrence between Massena and outside of Waddington.  Hitting the common grounds has pretty much been useless (Coles, Brandy, and Fobares).  Tried a few smaller bays and not much luck there either.  Any one else having a hard time finding Pike?  I am going to be trying to figure something out for next weekends tourny, but I am not too sure about locating something decent...

Can any of you guys give me a starting point on the river eyes.  Me and a buddy are coming up next wknd i believe. Would like to cqtch some eaters and even shorts to keep us busy while trying to get a true river pig. Any tips. Techniques. Maybe a few access points where the bite has been good. I know they have been doing well up there this year. Not looking for anyones hotspots, just general info on where to go and what to use. I have navionics and we have flashers. Pm if needed. Debating on whether to bring sled or hoof it.

Good bite today. I got a 10 pounder, my beother got an 8, and we got a few other smaller.

Also, RIP to the guy who lost his life on the big river the other day. And the search effort continues for a second guy.

Note to all, experienced and new comers alike, the river has serious current and it needs to be respected or it WILL punish you. It claims someone nearly every year. Be careful around the current areas.
