I fished the river Saturday and Sunday night and marked only a few. Some chased but none would fully commit. Maybe this weekend will be different. The wife wants to go so some tip ups may be used.

With the temps for tomorrow, a lot of trophy fish are going to meet their demise on the ride to the weigh-in I'm afraid. Hopefully people will try their best to prevent that. Should be some beauties caught. Good luck Hardwaterpiker and bigmouth.

My brother got a 16lb pike a couple days ago. I managed a 20.5 pounder today. My buddy broke off a really big fish early this morning. Who knows, I think it easily could have been over 15. Fishing has been steady.

to windy and cold for me to make the trip up to the st lawrence river. will wait until it gets at least in th 20,s. over 2 hour trip for us and we target eyes. anyone fishing the massena area or coles creek for eyes as of late?

Friends of mine have been doing well on walleye in the massena area last week....a couple of days with limits big fish mixed in as well....

I was curious as to whether or not any of you Nothern NYers have found any safe(ish) spots to ice fish on the Oswegatchie river. I'd imagine the walleye fishing would be great.

I know one of the referred to 19 lbrs was a first hour catch. on the board it was like 19 lb 15 oz er. I'd call it 20 too.

Please help out zweber is you have any information on his missing equipment. My DeWalt radio was lost 100 yards away from his gear, and luckily someone else picked it up. We intercepted during the derby and it was returned. The remaining items were taken by different people, and have yet to be returned, despite widespread contact on ice with other anglers and numerous announcements at the fire station prize drawings. Everyone has found lost gear, but this isn't just an ice ladle or ratchet strap. Lets get it back to its rightful owner.

Have been looking for this fish for many years. Released to swim again. Only wish it had the belly to match the length. 44.5", with two tip ups in the water 7:15am

Nice fish LastCast69. I wish we could have helped you and zweber with the gear. My buddy and I got a late start because his wheeler wouldn't start and when we finally got fishing (9 ish) he tried to start the bike at 11 and it wouldn't go, so we packed up and got his bike towed off the ice. Needless to say it wasn't a good weekend for us.
