Got to wade through the "bs" to get the good stuff - if you don't like it - don't read it.  Pick another thread that has just what you are looking for  :woot:

Good Luck tomorrow Abe!!!  Can't wait to see pics, it looks like on the RADAR that Northern NY is still getting pounded by snow...snowed about 5-6"s while I was fishing...

I was out past rollaway yesterday and today. Didn't have much luck either day. I was kind of disappointed since I've been doing really good on crappie and gills. Oh well, that's why they call it fishing and not catching.

Nice fish!

Just trying to keep this thread in perspective, not sure where you guys are fishing but this is a northern NY thread, not all ADK's are northern ny'ish. Not discouraging anyone from posting pics or results or anything at all, but lets keep this like northern NY, not upstate NY lol.

To put things in perspective this is an upstate north country Adirondack fish.

My girlfriend and I headed up that way to black lake and man was it snowing. Stopped at woodys on rt 3 for some bait. They have a bunch of jig raps and a bunch of nils augers. After that we hit the snow but it wasn't to bad. Got some perch and my girlfriend was lovin the flasher and ended up getting a decent pike on her jig rod and that made the whole trip worth wile. Might go again Saturday but extremely tempted to bring my wheeler cause I can't drag like that to darn far.  Are any of you guys going this weekend thinking of bringing ice machines?

I live in cranberry. probably would wait another week or two for the ice as we had a pretty good thaw on Christmas and a lot of the lake opened up. If you need any other info on Cranberry Lake give me a pm

I went to eel bay yesterday and the shore was still runny but the whole bay seemed to be locked up didn't venture out due to the tornado winds

Well I live, hunt and fish in the Adirondack's.  The Adirondacks are those tall mountain things you flat landers may not be accustomed to.  Are the Adirondacks mountains not northern NY?  GMU 5G

Tall mountain things.. Not ringing a bell! Lol I don't live in them, I live about 15 minutes northwest of the ADK park zone. But I fish and hunt slightly south of me, in the ADK's, as well as to the north.

I'd say maybe 50% of the ADK's are northern NY. Like we said before (this is most far northerners definition).. Draw a line straight across the state at Watertown. That would cut the Adirondack park almost perfectly in half. If your above that, then I would say yes north country, if below. Honestly I would say no. Where you located man?

Don't think he wants us to know.  Might be giving away a hotspot to a "flat-lander"  FUNEE! Seems Colton is in the dacks and I own a cabin in the dacks near to Santa Clara - Hmmm both North Country locations to me.
