Jigging  :o  Thought you were an all tip-ups guy.  Wrong again.  ;)  Fun catching those wallys on a jig pole with 4 lb. test and a light rod.   :P

Never said I was an all tip ups guy! I've jigged up a lot of walleyes and a lot of perch. Some nice walleyes, too. But I do favor tip up fishing lol.

Nice Job, I cant wait to start the hard water season. Old man winter is not helping the situation though.

Ive been up to black a couple times. Been pretty slow. Dont really know many other places. LOTI and eel bay arent ready yet. You guys seem to be doing quite well. Do you know if anyone is on brandy brook yet. Looking to jig up some eyes.

I'll be going after walleyes this evening, with open water tackle. The big ones are in, in one of my spots but there is no ice there.

I should mention that I can see the southern basin of Upper Saranac Lake from my house. It had totally skimmed over with a light ice cover early on Saturday, December 20th. Unfortunately, today's rain and wind have opened it up again.

I'll be doing some Christmas walleye fishing tomorrow. A 10-13 pounded would be an awful nice gift.

We are getting some ridiculous winds right now up here. No doubt the big river is angry right now. Gotta be messing with some ice. Couple spots with thin ice did hang on in the rain, but this wind... Looks like I will be sticking to the spots I've been fishing already. No exploring this weekend..

I'm praying I'll still be able to navigate where I want on the lake I've been fishing. Had 8" with over half of that being black ice. Strong winds here as well. May need planks at the shore line

Its very windy here on Upper Saranac Lake as well. The remaining ice is taking a beating!
