large slug-gos?

How effective would it be to jig a 7.5" or 9" slug-go for pike? ive had good luck with them on bass in the summer so i think there action would be effective through the ice...just didnt want to waste money on something that isnt going to be very effective.

I've used them fishing for Musky in very weedy areas before. I can't ever hook up with a musky on them but I have caught a few pike on 11" slugos.

I have had fish hit the 9" ones too.  Hooking up is the problem.  If you don't mind not being weedless, some kind of treble hook rig will dramatically increase your hookups. 

I never had the patience to use the bigger ones much, the smaller Sluggo's seem to work just as well for me.

All that said, I can't see any reason why they won't work under the ice.  I haven't tried it, but I will.

It's small when you are used to jigging Fuzzy Duzzits and Bondy Baits through the ice for pike.

 Thanks for the reference to Fuzzy duzzits and Bondy baits I am looking up a dealer they look good. I camp on a great Muskey lake a week every summer and i need a lure to try..
