new ice sled
« on: Dec 05, 2010, 07:24 AM »
I am in the process of building a new sled that serves as my tip up and gear holder. Its made of finish grade cherry plywood and will be big enought to hold my homemade tip ups with there flags extended. This will prevent my flag springs from getting bent and stuck at that shape. I will post picks when its done

We could line it for your July 3rd party and use it as a cooler too. ;D

That sled looks like it will make a good spot to sit or lay down ;)

13"  x 60" , built to fit in my truck with the clam 5600 and sled next to it

Maybe you or Chepiguy could sit on it, don't think I'll try it with my fat ass though.  And as for lying in it, we do call it a coffin ;D

If nothing else let's hope we never have to see if it floats.

Here's some more pix of the finished product.  Great work Kevin (though the phone on the camera needs work, lol).   Have hooks for the crate on the back to hold the propane tank for the heater.  Pimpin the IceShanty.com sticker and flag ;D  You guys will definitely know how to spot us on the ice.   If you guys know any bait shops or companys that have ice fishing/fishing decals let us know, we have room on the box for more.

Tested it on the lawn yesterday, glides real smooth on the skis and that was on frozen ground.  On the ice it should not have any resistance at all.

Bring that bad boy up to the North end of the state for a test run. We've got plenty of ice. ;)
