I wasn't among those present but I understand that it was 2" of rock hard ice, a little on the flexible side but for these death and glory guys that just adds a little zest to a successful perch expedition. Don't be an old woman like me. I've quit being a scold.

Last time I was on ice that thin it took me two days to get my shorts out of my butt!
Then again, I’m old and weigh 200+, while the guy I was with went maybe 98# wet.

Not thick enough for this old, heavy, gray haired geezer. Besides... I went swimming late last season. It wasn't a fun experience and I don't look forward doing so again.

The ice sagged a little further out. We tried to stay away from each other but sometimes that was the hot hole! The 2 1/4 mile (oops excuse me, the 1.9999999 mile) walk would have sucked being wet. Good times, Let's ya know you're livin!
