Thanks, I grabbed one since I've got an extra reel with no rod. I'll update after I get it, I tried to order one of these last season on a similar deal and Amazon sent the rod loose in a box that was way to big for it. The tip was all jacked up from knocking around during shipping, and I had to return. Hopefully they are shipping them better now.

Update: the rod arrived and looks good. Amazon added some paper packing material, and a piece of cardboard was folded over the tip and taped tight, looked like it did the job.

There is no wind wire or whatever you want to call it so yes more wind flags. Not too hard to fix that if you're handy

Putting the flag into the wind combined with the appropriate notch in conjunction with the proper shaft height should get the job accomplished
