I have done the pricematch and chat more times than not when purchasing anything from Scheels online or in-store. They are really good about it and usually aren't too picky.

Never even considered Scheels price matching items ...DUH ..I have had GREAT success at DSG though . Scheels has a great selection ..pricing not great on all items..now my eyes have seen the light .

Cabelas is a joke now that its owned by BassPro. Their inventory system is just awful. I'd guarantee they don't have the reel in stock. However, the website will show it in stock and then you will get jerked around by customer service and get your reel in February.

Very true. I used to be a proud cabelas black card holder and earn points. Since BassPro took over........not good. Don't even remember the last time i was on their website and it used to literally be a daily thing checking for sales in the bargain bin. Sad. Now I'm a Scheels fan even though their prices might not always be the cheapest. Dick's is not good either, not even sure how they are still in business to be honest.

Scheels, in my opinion is the best of the big stores right now. They’re employee owned (supposedly) and have treated me well. I stopped in randomly one day looking for hunting boots and although they didn’t have what I wanted, the sales guy told me to buy them from scheels.com as they have a 1 year warranty through the store. Sure enough after a summer’s use and into fall these $400 boots were no longer waterproof. I contacted them and they gave me my money back no questions asked.

Unfortunately no Scheels are located in the northeast. I hope they migrate this way bc I'm sick of driving to cabelas/dicks to find empty shelves.

I'm an ex-Cabelas black card holder as well, ditched it with the purchase and change to Capital One.

Same thing, dont even visit the site anymore. The new owners of Fleet are running that into the ground too, wish we had a Scheels closer.
