Where is everyone? 25 replies on the Iowa board all season. I know it hasn’t been much of a season but still. I can’t believe how quiet  it is here. Had FB killed the Iowa board?

Short season, or I would guess some people probably didn't get to make it out at all this year.

From what I've seen, FB groups were more active in the past, but those have really slowed down even the last two seasons. I think people stopped sharing reports and posting catches on those public groups once they realized how quickly a spot can be blown up. If someone asks for an ice thickness report or shore access, I'll usually reply if I've been out, especially if it's sketchy or needs caution, but I don't know many people, myself included, who post any catches or bite reports. Kind of weird, in my area, it's gone back to mostly word of mouth type reports.

Literally got out twice this year. I did get my 2.5 year old son his first fish though!
