Lincoln woods...
« on: Dec 31, 2012, 04:42 PM »
Checked Lincoln Woods and a good portion is still open near the boat ramp all the way to the old red shed. Most of the coves are frozen especially near the Twin River Rd entrance. The edges were water but I'm sure there was a spot to get on the ice. I didn't walk out because I had my dog and he would just run right out! Some other small ponds in the Lincoln area were locked up but I'm gonna wait till the weekend. Stay safe

Checked Lincoln Woods today and there was a good amount of open water. Lots of wet spots but most of the coves were ice. Didn't look like anyone had been on it. Could be total junk by the end of the week.

North cove closest to Twin River road entrence is first to freeze there,be VERY carefull there on 1st ice theres a spring in front of rock point on left side leaving that north cove , a guy fell in and drowned there a few years back, his dog was waiting at his parked vehicle without him.
How are the edges ?
