Waiting is best but with these temps we may be fishing before the new year.
Is Bearwood still operating and do they have bait in case it is good ice soon?

A few more days ice will b good..hey trapper i was out shooting deer with bigal..well i did good bigal didnt have much luck...he sat in my tree one day nothing i go sit in same tree shooot 3 out 4 that came out..so hunting with my buddy is like fishing with him ..fish the holes he leaves catch fish...hunt the tree he leaves shoot deer.but i gave him a deer.hes my buddy..i got 6..

Yes Bearwood is still open. I picked up some nice fresh bait from them 2 weeks ago. Charlie looked healthy as an ox!

Who else out there is going to be targeting some tigers when the ice is safe? Didn't catch a single one last year on a tip up. Let's hope for some solid long lasting ice this season!

Otisco pond wasn't safe as of yesterday morning. Last night helped, but I don't know that ice will last through the thaw coming up.

Drove by on my lunch break today. Saw one guy out on the far side of the North end. Looks like about 3/4 of the pond north of the narrows is locked up. Not sure how much ice though. Didn't stop to check.
