I drove the north shore yesterday to Cleveland….95% is open water. As far as I could see… no ice.

It’s time for the boat then. Try to help the population out 5@a time. Lol

The perch and walleye take had to be 1/8 of a normal winter?

The local businesses get the real kick in the nuggets.

As soon as I figure out how to mount my shack to my kayak.

One of the best parts of ice fishing to me is sitting back in a nice warm shack, no wind, a cooler full of snacks, and a comfy chair.  I can get two out of three in my kayak.

If you don't mind me asking, when you fish for perch after ice out where do you find them - shallow ?  I fish a small lake, and when the suckers are spawning the perch follow behind the suckers and I can get them in water less that 3 ft deep.  I don't even have to cast.  I'm assuming they are eating the sucker spawn .....Do you fish shallow weed beds or something - in a boat or from shore ??  Thanks Trapper

I’m waiting till the lake water temp is 48.31* perfect conditions to track down OGGO for a chance to catch him on a planer board and a 2# white perch rig!!!😈🎣
