A few walleyes
« on: Jan 10, 2010, 09:23 PM »
Well winter semester starts tomorrow so we made the last week of Christmas break count. The weather sucked but the fishing was alright. We mostly fished for walleyes and ended up putting a few nice fish on the ice. I think we landed 16 eyes (13 legal) on 5 trips. Heres a few pics of the fish

yea, oddly enough the best fishing time has been between 10-2. The lake has a dark stain to it and we were fishing 25-30 fow which means things are probably pretty dark at the bottom.

Hmm that is kind of odd, we catch most of our eyeballs in the hour before and after dark. After that it seems to get slow.. :'(

Same here, I just spend the last 2 hours watching ice fishing videos. It's going to be a long summer.....
