Do they give you a bait receipt at Agway?

If you need bait there is also hilltop bait shop outside of Nineveh. Defn call, but they’re super nice and have good bait

It should be but make sure of every step  it's been through a lot in the past couple weeks could be holes that opened up

Thanks greensider. It’s my first time going and likely going alone so been looking at some options I’m in Delaware but may find smaller water and shallower to play it safe. Just curious if you have any nearby suggestions for an easy first time spot just to get used to my equipment etc?. any advice appreciated from anyone. I’ve done my homework but itching to get out tomo somewhere and start learning

I think with all the minnows we had down there soaking on hooks we doubled the population of the lake! Nice morning for sure!

Picked up some fatheads at Lock and Load.  Nice little shop.  Bait shops are disappearing and it's a tough business.  If we don't support them we will have to trap our own before long.

Has anyone tried setting out a minnow trap in the winter? I know you have to fish them in the water you catch them but didn't know if anyone has tried.  I used to trap some at Long Pond in the summer.

I have a friend with shiner and crayfish ponds he traps them in winter

Finally made it out on the Res Saturday evening and Sunday morning.  Ice was great unfortunately it is going to take a beating this week with the warm weather.  Fishing was not on fire but managed a couple meals worth each day.

As most of us already figured it out but for those who don't know yet the Crappie derby has been cancelled once again. It's been like 4 years since we've had one.

I went to a different spot on Sunday than where we went on Saturday and had a bit of action. Had something big break me off.

I guess catching one perch is pretty good considering how bad the bite has been and just an FYI upper third of the res is ice free if you value your life or respect your family think twice before going on what is left

I was at spillway this past Monday. Was the only one one my side of river. One guy on the other side. I never had a hit in almost 5 hours so called it a day. Didn't see the other guy do any better.
