Clown is my go-to color.
It has been so good to me in the past, that it is the first color that I try.

It is awesome (in the small size) for perch and trout as well.

For some reason, clown color pattern simply do not work for me.  I always do better with perch pattern and rainbow.

Firetiger is #1 for me,clowns haven't produced at all. I've had no luck with the clown color and no luck with Lindy Darters either. Buying the next firetiger lures I find for sure. Dani  ;D

It depends on your lake and the amount of fishing pressure.

I started using Clown jigging Raps because everyone was using perch color.

IT was a different color, and it caught on pretty well on the lake that I use 'em on.

Sometimes, you gotta be different.

Wiener you are totally right on your comment. My fishing buddy loves and has unreal luck with his darter 10' away from me.Yet i've not caught a fish onit for all the hours I tried the identical Darter. The clown has produced during a feeding frenzy but not near as productive as the firetiger for me on these waters. Lures I used up in northern Canada and had great success with are absolutly useless on this lake, funny how all that works out. Dani

I'm a firm believer in using lures that you have confidence in.

I think that we may work them harder or smarter, sometimes it's just luck.

The particular clown rap that I use is different from my other ones.  The tail got broke off some how.

Maybe this results in a little different action?

I don't know, but it sure does seem to work.
