Q on Lake Towhee in Bucks Co.
« on: Nov 05, 2005, 01:02 AM »
Does anybody know if night fishing is allowed on this lake? I know it has some special reg's (launch permits)... and being that it's a county park, I though that it might be locked up from sunset to sunrise.

I asked the guard in July of 2005 if you could fish at night .Was told as long as proper lights were on boat you can stay out all night. Hoping we get ice there will go after work.

It is like nearly all of the state parks in Pa. Boat fishermen are allowed past sunset as long as you have your running lights. Have had some good luck on this water at night in the summer, thats when the water temp here gets especially warm and at least one half of the water is covered with pads. Unfortunately due to its small size and location it endures some very heavy fishing pressure.

You guys were fishing Towhee already? Man, it must have been cold lately!  :D

Seriously though... that is music to my ears. How thick was the ice? I'll be heading down there soon (Friday possibly).

I was there yesterday.   Four inches of ice.   Slow bite.

Fastribs,

The story being told on Sunday was that someone did go through.
Did one leg go through, or what?
