I just went to Marden's today and bought a one man Frabill shelter on a sled for $45.00. It will be good for jigging next year.
-
Now that sounds like a deal. I'm sure you'll like that when the temps are in the neg. numbers Steve.
I bought a 2-man a couple years ago, It's worked great so far.

I think I will be taking my Rover to Moosehead next year instead of my DX3000. Like you said, great for 1 person jigging. Superfast setup/take down. I'm already planning on taking my XL Jetsled to carry auger and some other gear, and then use the Rover to jig from, especially if the wind kicks up! Won't be as much room, but if I was using that last year, I would have made it around the island to join you before that gale force wind shut me down.

Bill, I just got my ice screws from Ebay yesterday along with a aluminum fold up shovel. The shovel will help digging the wheeler out of the slush if I can afford the gas to run it next year. That oneman flipover will be easy to heat also. I have to start rebuilding the sled to haul the Clam around on. I'm already planing for the Moosehead trip. See you at the banquet next weekend.

windham walmart has the vz3000 two man ice shelter for $100.00
-

Just remember the "Village" stood up to all those winds!

I'll just tie off to you next year at Moosehead, John. I would imanage one of those oneman outfits would fly pretty fast with the wind across the lake. Could use it for trolling. ;D

Walmart up here has the fl 8s for 199.00
-
Got any snow for sale John? At least you don't have to worry about grass fires. Everything is drying up down here.

Sounds like the Walmarts in Maine carry a lot of good stuff. Our Walmarts have very little ice fishing equipment, Definately no shelters.

Distance to Walmart in Portland...divided by miles per gallon...times $3.50 per gallon.....awfully tempting.....
