Fort Peck: Devils Creek
« on: Oct 13, 2021, 10:47 PM »
I am trying to plan a trip or two to Fort Peck this upcoming season(dates unknown). I came across Devils Creek and it looks to be quite the drive on dirt. I am curious to know how that road is in the winter and if it would be worth the trip as the trip would only be a few days long. Thanks in advance.

If it snows, or rains it is hard to get in or out.
Best bet would be crooked creek or hell creek.

There are a couple of videos on YouTube where they are coming out of Devil's Ck. in the mud and I started having flashbacks about getting out of that country in the mud. It Sucks! The other thing is that I know Crooked Creek was pretty much high and dry this summer. With the water as low as it is, I don't know how much water is up in there. It didn't sound like the Corps was planning on holding any either.
