slow bite

Why is the bite so slow this year. Seems to be slow everywhere. This is one of the worst seasons i ever had. Could it be all the rain we had this past year.

Every other day a front rolls through so it keeps messing up the fish. The yoyo barometer sucks.

most of the days ive found the most successful guys are out there 24/7.sooner or later they turn on, the fish that is?i went friday afternoon

I love fishing in the bad weather. Not high bluebird sky's   When it's real shoty out we do good. Just like today. Fish fed a lot when the sleet came

Clayboy's got it, Blue bird skies are pretty and all and great for bbq'ing but not so great for fishing. Besides, it's the back end of winter... fishing always gets kinda tough at this time.

I also agree, Blue skies equate to fishing blues....  Nice being out but not the most productive.  Although there are those rare exceptions to any rule.   But this past Saturday was not one of them.  Two different lakes, same results.  One very nice rainbow trout to show for the entire day.  Only two flags on tip-ups and not a single hit jigging.

Heck. All the times I was out this year. The bite sucked. I was out in some snotty weather too. That black cloud just follows me around  :o

Only bad day was on moraine this short season. Got out 6 times and the day I fished off Zion was 👎🏻
