I just put the last coat of poly on my new canoe motor mount. It's not going to ice and I live up in the NW hills.

In a previous post I guessed 12/9. I looked at the long range forecast as well and it looks like we'll have a shot!!!!!!!!

I think there will be ice by x-mas, but not as widespread as we'd like it to be. Maybe we got spoiled with early starts the last 2 -3 seasons.
Ice in 2 weeks? Maybe at ponds even less thrilling than Wood Creek.

I can wait.

Looks like another week of slightly above normal temps. Maybe we'll get lucky with more colder nights than predicted.
Either way, on Dec 1'st I drag my gear out of the closet, and make an appointment for snow tires.
