trackside garage in old forge carries live bait.at least he did last year,just make sure you call him before you go.he is a repair shop and has to run for parts or cars,so he is not there all the time.128 Watson rd,315-369-0024.

Went to trackside on Friday and got a dozen medium shiners. Had to pick my jaw up off the floor when he said "ya that'll be 10 bucks". I will never go there for bait again. I dont care if those were the last 12 shiners in a 50 mile radius, that's a total rip off. Cant imagine what 3 or 4 dozen would cost... 40 - 50 bucks? Unbelievable.

Go to hometown bait and tackle in marcy. Nice guy, good bait, and you wont have to tear your arm off to pay for some minnows.

Guys were out on Goose Bay up on the River last weekend. Ice out to about 100 yards.  not enough for me!

son lives in north country..was out all weekend at Waddington..5 in ice he said
