A good start to the season

This is the first fish I have caught this year through the ice . Not a bad way to start  ;D

What am I doing sitting in front of this computer ..............
I should be out fishing

It was 28 '' and I would guess 9 lb. :)

Got it on a red jig and salted minnow .

You can actually see my car in the back ground , just above the fishes headf
What am I doing sitting in front of this computer ..............

That is an AWESOME fish, but I'd have to agree that I too only eat the smaller eyes... however I wouldn't mind having one good mount that is over 8#'s...

Great start nonetheless!  I can't wait to see the rest of your season's pics!

looks like you got a shallow cruiser eh?  are you in shallow water?  i always stay shallow, especially after dark.  about 5 ft, with a swimming lure.  they just cruise around like hungry wolves

Got her in 20 feet of water useing a dead stick .  I could see her on the vex . she first looked at the Chubby darter then went for the easy prey . ;)
