Same priciple Jopes, the angle is a couple of degrees different on the strikemaster versus the eskimo.

Just got my z51 shark from glenns,my better half won't let me open it until christmas.Don't like the fact that it's made in china,I hope it's as good as everyone says the are.Hey SURF where do i buy my F.O.E.A.O. stickers.

Welcome Sawmillr. You will love the Z71. I bought mine from Glenn's last month. Great service at Glenn's. She fired up on the second pull. Would of fired on the first pull but I was a bit awkward at pulling her since I have never owned a power auger before. If you give your wife a little MOtivation to let you open her up maybe that is all the MOmentum she needs to let you take a sneak peek at her. Tell her she can always wrap it back up and you will still give her a big surprise face for the picture Christmas morning.

Congrats on the Z51 Sawmillr! I'm sure you wont have any problems with her. But ya know, you need to tell the wife that you really do need to open her up and take a look! What if something happened during shipping? When I got mine the throttle cable got smashed between the motor and the auger, had to call Eskimo to get a new one. You really need to look. Don't wanna open her up Xmas and find out something is wrong....Oh ya! gotta look at her!

And while you got her out, might as well start her and make sure she's running good.

Got to make some holes with my z71 for the 1st time

. Had no real need in ~6 inch ice, but fish was quiet in the middle of the day, so I put a straight face on and went for some "scouting"

. Nice.
Too bad I opted for my hand drill 8" for thin ice when whitefish was hot, didn't want to risk it...

Tell her you have 30 days from purchase date to test it before warranty expires. I did this and it worked for me!

Congrats BigBucky1!! What did you get? We love to see pictures. I hear you about the ice. I need it just so I spend my time fishing and not in Bass Pro or Cabelas buying more equipment. Today I was traveling for work in northern Michigan and saw a Bass Pro so I veered off the interstate and spent an hour in the store. Walked away with a few new jigs and a new reel. Yesterday I hit Cabelas and ended up spending two hours and bought a spud, jigs, clam jig box, and some cool fingerless gloves that are water proof and sheer the wind (at least that is what the tag said and I fell for it). Thankfully I have a little "what she don't know stash" for these sort of impromptu visits to my favorite stores when I decide to impulse buy more ice fishing gear. The best thing is I never, I mean NEVER feel a bit bad about the purchase as I know I will one day land a nice gill, perch, crappie or walleye because I had that jig, that reel or that pole. Ain't ice fishing the best!!!

Hope you get to fire up that MO real soon. I saw a few of her buddies in the stores this week. One day they will find a home like my Betsy did!!! Oh yea, on this site most of the guys have named their augers. Just ask Surflizard about his girl BB. (Big Bertha)

I haven't used my lazer one on my lazer, But I do keep it in my bucket just in case. So last year This guy was having a keckuva time drilling with his hand eskimo. I offered to use my sharpener on his blades and if it was even possible his auger seemed worse. Don't think I'll be trying it on my lazer anytime soon.........

i think its the camera. I just got a new one and dont know the settings and took it in the closeup mode . The picture doesnt do it any justice. 13 lb eye 31in x 19in. Its a half inch bigger than my pb. She bugs me daily about it.

Got my mo going today. She ran just like I thought, real nice. I am getting the blues after looking at the forecast, not goin to fish anytime real soon. I guess I will have to go to the garage and fire up the mo just to get through till the time of ice comes.
