Just ordered an Eskimo Mako through Glen's Outdoors! Had a used Lazer that never worked right and  I got tired of messing with and said the hell with it--give something new!

Anyone have any good tips on how to break the news to the wife (for those like me that buy before telling)?  ;D

Welcome to the Mayhem, michlw39, glad to have ya buddy !  ;D Check the fine print on the warranty card, I'm pretty sure there is a good news for the wife clause for the new owner on there ! If not, I'd check with Our Behavior modification Specialist, The Distinguished Altered mind, Oops sorry, AltaIce ! He does have his hands full right now with a Patient suffering from a certain Pork rind fetish and some Maniac running around in a Red Cape, but being the True Professional that he is, he will try and suggest something I'm sure ! I've got to get back to shoveling snow, everyone have a great afternoon and I'll see ya'll on the Flip side !

P.S. Good to hear from ya Ice Dawg, how goes the battle ? It's Ongoing here !  :roflmao:

Not quite Ice, but its gettin close ! Kinda reminds me of livin Back in Grand Mariah, Minnesota, it do ! Not too bad compared to those fools that ignored the warnings to stay off Lake Shore drive in Chicago and got to spend the night in their cars, couple of them froze to death ! This may sound Callous, but I think maybe Mother Nature is trying to Cull the herd of it's weak and infirm. When they say Ignore at your own Peril, Some people only pay attention to the Ignore part ! What a waste, Sad really !! Round # 3 is in the book ! I'll take a break and go back at it tonight, Yippee Ya Frikken Whooee !! I don't know if anyones aware of this, but Surflizards are allergic to Snow !!  :o ;D

Taking the time to play with my Buddy Rebel, my lab, not the Grand Poohba !!  :roflmao:

Surfy, the white stuff is about 5' high in my front yard and deeper between my house and the neighbor's. When we flooded in 97 I had water four feet behind my garage and on the sidewalk out front. It took three days of pumping with three 2 1/2" gas pumps to get the lake out back pumped into the street. We didn't lose power, but everybody on the street to the west of us had generators going for a couple weeks. I guess I could have cast a few spoons behind the garage.  ;D

They've all ready started planning for this years flood in this area and starting getting diking material ready. God I love living in the Katrina of the North.

And how do you freeze to death on LSD? Isn't there pretty much a CHA building, condo, apartment building, store and restaurant all right on top of each other along there?

God help us all!

Howdy skilo, I guess not because they showed the fire department waking people up this morning on a section of Lake Shore Drive and they were using sleds to evac them to ambulances. Some of them were there for 10 hours ? I guess they should Paid Attention to the " Do Not Use Lake Shore Drive Warning " that was Posted ??

I AM going fishin', Surfo, but I hope like heck to be back BEFORE Spring... :roflmao: :roflmao: If I'm not, you've got the coordinates from the other night where we're at....break out the puppy sled and get over here!!!! :woot:
I can foresee another year of not being able to get the boat out because the Mississippi looks like foamy chocolate milk running at 40 mph.... :o  We Grand Poobah's have the innate "inner eye" to see into the future...and I see that if ya don't get to the store soon, that half-case of pork Rinds is gonna be empty, and the prices are gonna rise...

SKilo...you poor guys are really gettin' bonked up there lately...and we've lost an entire town here (Zumbro Falls) to the fall floods. I wonder if there's any fish in Arizona?

Hey all..

Just finished reading some of the posts I have missed.. looks like I have missed a lot.  ( Been working different hours.. so at my age... the sleep thing kinda hit me weird.) ( and the fact that they tried to put padding down on the floor of that special room with the already padded walls..... LOL ... makes it freaky to try to walk on it)

I hope everyone makes it through all of the storms that are heading your way, and for you that
are already in the middle of yours... Hang in there ... Our thoughts are with you.. And I get a real strong feeling from
everyone in this thread and site.... Our backs and sand bags would be with you if only lived closer together.

Surf!! Brother... It looks like you have a little snow in your front yard Eh? I do know that even on this side of the boarder there are many places with there teeth crunched together, just waiting to see how the spring melt will hit em!

Surf...I Like your Dawg... and great name as well.

Never got the chance to wish Old - Rockin - Rebel, all the best of luck for his trip with the others on the Ice. I hope they kick butt and as well stay very safe.

Can't wait to see his pictures of the trip....  ..... sorry just sitting here  thinking of the pics.... of those ... big...  Blue pants and Red Cape... dancing ever so pretty across the Ice.. holding the fish in his hands...  Should be a group of interesting Pictures , that is for sure.
...
   Hey Surf and everyone.
I was speaking with a friend yesterday, in which I have not seen in a while. ( as yes I have friends... well kinda .. and yes I am not always in solitary confinement ) ... So anyways, he was saying that his Power Ice Auger worked fine for the first two or  so years and this year it Auger out of the blue has started to act up... he said he is getting close to the point where he thinks it is not dependable and does not trust it.. ( Not that it matters at this point,  but it  is not a Mo , but is a good brand)

Then he mentioned that the first year he ran it... with out any fuel stabilizer in it...
Well my, Question is.....   " Is that possible" ? I mean to run it with out a stabilizer in it? He says that he does drain the fuel out every spring.

Any thoughts on my his ( or any ) auger would act up in the fact it works well one trip and then off and on on others.

He did also mention something about ... he has to let it warm up for ever ( once it starts) or it will always bog down and stop.

   Everyone stay safe... Later

Bonjour mon ami, Steven do you have any exploded View Schematics of the MO Augers, that you can post for us ? I'm thinking it would be kinda cool to get a gander at some of the internal working of the MO Augers, what do you think ? I realize this is a Poorly Disguised request for some MO Mechanical Porn, but you know me, I just gotta look under the hood !!  :woot: >:D :roflmao:
                                                                                                                                                Surf
P.S. ayez un jour splendide et allez crochet quelques poissons !

Good Morning Alta, sound like your friend is suffering from ethanol sludge build up ! It doesn't take much eth snot to make the main jet seat to start sticking, one reason for the bogging !, I'd suggest cleaning the carb and putting a rebuild kit in it, fairly easy and cheap fix and convince him to start a sea foam treatment of the gas and he should be good to go !

Morning General Pork Rind.
I hope this note finds you and yours doing very well this fine, fine morning!

Thanks for the advise... I'll let him know. I know you have probably mentioned this before...
But Surf. What is " Sea Foam " again , and what does it do ( again) ?  Where do you get it? ( again) ?  Who makes it?
( again ) ? .... Is it that stuff you see when your sitting in salt water and let one go...??

Why would it need a new carb kit so soon?

Did Reb get off ok to his great big adventure, OK?  I sure hope so. I know he was also fighting the cabin fever!

Am kinda of worried though... to what Reb, or someone suggested regarding.. the fact that the price of pork rinds may go up..  Oh Sorry Surf... did not mean to re-mention that out loud again.. ( I am sure it would not effect the price of such a main food group)

Hey everyone... let Surf and Reb ( us ) know how your weekend goes with your MO .. and everyone be safe.

Your right on a tear today Brother, Good for you buddy ! Here's a link to the sea foam home site www.seafoamsales.com  They can explain it much better that I ! I have seen new augers with Half a seasons use on them benefit from a carb kit, Most times the carb need to come apart to clean it properly. Your better off putting in the new gasket and rubber  Diaphragm pump versus reusing the old ones and they are only 6,7 bucks for the kit and the piece of mind that come from a job well done ! Good luck and let me know how ya make out !
                                                                                                                                          Surf

P.S. It is a very tall snow bank, I almost got a nose bleed drivin the sled over the top of it, it was aweful scary !!  :woot:  :roflmao:

Something like that surflizard, they asked fishermans to help them..Suppose that is for the pearch, but this is a place for family activities and because, maybe about two years ago, some one caught a greytrout(not supposed to be there)..So Govt are like to want to be sure that there's not a lot of them to autorize icefishing(stupid thing, cause if we got one, we just let it go)..So..I'm not sure about the biologist ideas(forced us to try to catch pearch in 35-40ft..it's amazing,,i think that they"re  trying to use us to proove that those stupid trouts are there!..And  make a stupid No Fishing Law about this place!...So i tell the manager of this place, Just forget about the biologists, they are in their stupid book..Change your depth range to 5-17ft..and me and my fishingboard buddy are going to help you to promote pearch fishing..that's it..he asked me  some help..but i cannot help him in a range  of that depth... :(

It is Amazing Steven, these people [govt Biologists] are the same everywhere !  :cookoo: :roflmao: We do have one State Biologist here in NH that does hunt and fish so he does know what he's talking about ! ;D I've never caught Perch any deeper than 20' either ! Are these Grey Trout an exotic species, I have not heard the name before ? Are they related to the Brook or Rainbow trout ? I was up in Northern Quebec years ago and the guide told me we were going after Sucker Trout, I was kinda confused till I caught one and it was what we here in the US, call a Brook Trout or a Speckled Trout.

Yes, we call them LakeTrout, some still refer to them as Togue, an old Micmac name. They are probably the most targeted fish here in NH. Are they thinking of closing that fishery because there might be lake trout in there ? They closed Salmon season during the winter here, because the charter boats that cater to the summer tourists said too many were caught thru the ice !!  :%$#!:
