Damn Alta you don't post forever then when you do it takes me an hour to read it.  I don't think your job as Behavioral Specialist will be that busy during the ice fishing season as we will all be able to get out and scratch the itch.  So really you just need to keep us stocked up on pork rinds during the season.  I think this is why they gave you 2 jobs.  Your BS roll will come into play during the off season when we are all sitting in our ice houses set up in the yard and babbling like idiots because there is no hard water.  I know myself I will need as much help as I can get during the summer as last year my wife kept getting mad that I was digging holes in the yard and trying to pull a fish out of them.  Your job is to keep our wife from committing us don't end up in the padded room(even though we all belong there).  Glad you have taken on your new rolls with enthusiasm.  Also I like the new names for the guys.  I think we can have a vote right now and make them official.

A Truly Awe Inspiring, Acceptance Speech Alta !  Congratulations on accepting the Position of Behavioural Specialist and Under Cover Pork Rind procurement, kinda, I guess, maybe ! I believe we now have the best possible candidate for helping our F.O.E.A.O. members to cope with the Tremendous amounts of Pride, Self confidence and Just the plain Old Unbridled Joy of Owning and Operating what is often referred to as the Cadillac of Ice Augers ! :clap: :thumbsup: In all Honesty, I think That I should be the first to Volunteerarly take a seat on your Couch and try to explain the rather Serious condition of Pork Rind Hoarding that I'm currently suffering from !! A long time age in a far away Northern Land, I found myself in a Truly Percarious Position ! I was hired on at The Doggy Droppings Husky Hacienda as a full time Dog Handler/Dog team Driver ! I had dreamed of having a position with this Prestigious Husky Racing Kennel since I was a young Pup ! After two weeks of shoveling wheelbarrow loads of Doggy Droppings, I became aware of a nervous shaking, quiver in all of my extremities ! I thought it was due to the Constant Explosions of the Trees around the kennel due to the constant mind numbing, lung searing -50 below temperature, Alas, I was sadly mistaken, it was the fact that the only store within 143 miles in any direction had not only never heard of Pork Rinds, they outrightly refused to order any for me !!  :woot: :%$#!: This Terrifying Reality, when combined with the Claustrophobia inducing size of the one room bunk house and constant baying and barking of 118 Huskies had resulted in the creation of a Had to Have Pork Rind Phobia that I have had to this Very Day ! With your help Alta, I truly hope that you can help me with this Terrible affliction so that I may once again, become a useful member of society and learn to share my Hoard of Pork Rinds with my F.O.E.A.O Brothers and move on with my life ! Oh and by the way, that Pork Rind Scupture is Truly Magnificent, Can I have it, Please, Please ??  :unsure: Oops, Sorry, I completely forgot thats one of the Pork Rind Scuptures in my Vast Collection ! When he found out in that frigid winter of '83 (While yours truly was attempting to keep numerous people safe) that he was to be a "puppy petter & poop pusher" for a menagerie of yapping, whining, little fur-balls, he headed for the nearest northern Minnesota bar, where he immersed himself in Old Squaw longnecks, pork-rinds, and Johny Paycheck's "Take this job and shove it" (Number B-3 on the jukebox).
So, to this day, when he becomes stressed, he immerses himself in a bag of rinds, and just like a teddy bear, they make all the problems and stress go away. He actually suffered a porcine "flashback" this Fall....turned on the TV, and there it was...a movie called "Porky's".. :o Remember the cartoon ad "Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs"? That was Surfy bouncing off the walls until LLT pulled him down and explained it was only a movie about sex... :whistle:

Well guys I'm glad we have moved forward with the election of Officers, with one exception ! Hey Steven, are ya gonna Join in as the Technical information Director, We need ya buddy, Heaven help us if we turn The Grand Poohba Loose in the Tech room !  :woot: :roflmao: We did manage to get out and soak some bait and LLT managed to hook one of the short striking Lakers and My buddy Shakey dad and his boys went home with a keeper ! Nice and brisk out there today, Even with the Frabill left hitched to the sled we still were movin around some !

Sooo....all the 'Mo owners just got transported to the Twilight Zone?! Whassup, people?! Isn't ANYONE fishing, gettin' out, what? ???  My expedition to Northern Minnesota was cancelled last week at the last minute, due to below zero bitter cold temps.....have you ever seen four big, REALLY p****d off guys on an early Saturday morning?!  :o Almost February, and with all the snow, and temps, haven't been out YET!!!!! :%$#!: :%$#!:
In speaking with some of you, I know there's some that are going through some "less than savory" times right now, and things aren't so hot. Let's give our fellow "Mo owner's a little camraderie here, and maybe an uplifting word or two!!! Do I need to suit up and do a recon mission to your hootches, stealing your wives, children, and pooches?!  :flex: Say, anyone have some cold longnecks and pork rinds hidden anywhere?! :whistle: Let's hear from this great group of folks!!!!!! 'Mo handshake!!!!! :thumbsup:

Sorry to hear about the Weather puttin the boots to your mission Reb, Mother Nature is being real fickle again this year ! >:( She either too cold or not cold enough ! We have 2 layers of ice here, The base is 8" to 10" and the top is 2" to 4" with up to 8" of water trapped between them ! the water is being insulated just enough to not let it lock up ! That 8" drop is Really Spooky to say the least !  :o

Question for the crew : I have a 97 Ski Doo with a rack on the back, has anyone tried making a auger mount for a rear rack ? I'm using bungee's for now and the auger is still swinging and banging a little too much ! Any feed back or suggestions on this would be greatly Appreciated !

Sorry to hear that your Trip was cancelled.  I bet anyone that has never ever been to a Ice Fishing thread before... and then all of a sudden just happens to read your note ... about fours guys not going ICE fishing... cause it is cold.... might make them say ...... BUT .... But .... I thoughts it was supposed to be cold to make the Water in the kinda, sorta, maybe HARD FORM... like maybe something they CALL ICE!!!!... LOL ...LOL..

 Just kidding.. I hear .. we know it is not fun when your Pork rinds stick to the top of your Dentures.. or are so cold they fall out of the bag in one solid piece!!!!    .... Oh ...  What am I saying.... that would never stop SURF From Ice fishing nor.... heck no... i say.... that would never stop Surf from eating those Pork Rinds...... May slow him down.. but nope... not stop... A guy has to eat right?

  Yesterday after noon i got home... after work... and as I was walking through my garage.... (( See how I wrote that.. " as I was walking through my garage".....  LMAO... as if to make it sound like it is big enough to walk through.. LO..)

  Oh ... now where was I.... O Ya... REB!!

   As I was saying.. as I walked through my garage.... I could hear moaning... it was getting louder and loud and i got closer to the door to go into the house.... and louder... it seemed to be coming from the other side of the garage... (( Ya as if it s all that Far .... LOL ... Gawd I can pile it up EH?)) So I turn around and walk to ward that sound..  I have not heard it in a while... but I still had to check it out... Dang!!... Reb !!! ... Hey Surf.. put down the bag and stop chewing and listen....  Dang !!! it was coming from my .... my .... " MO" !!!! We had a warm spell last weekend... and i also had plans to head out into the big world of Hard Water....  had My Beautiful Ice Auger all set and cleaned and ready to go.... a few days in advance... all rods set.. Smelts under the pillow... Oh I mean in the freezer... LOL.

  Then... something happened... I let someone at work get to me... I lrt someone... take my up lifting spirit and ... I LET that person ( I 'll call it a person for now) .. LOL ...get to me a little bit... so I did ot go fishing.... YUP !! you heard it....... and .... and ... REB... that is what i wa hearing... ( no not the person in my garage).. I was hearing my Z-1... crying...  moaning with the pain... of being topped up with new and shinny fuel... .... kinda, sorta, maybe looking the best she could be... ALL dressed up and  AltaIce did not take her out.. in a sorta.. maybe freaky kinda way... know what I mean Vern?


   Ahhhhhhh Geeze... I have to fly.... sorry Reb.. Sorry Surf... Say hi to everyone on here.. for me as i am better fly as I have to get to work.... ...

Hey all! Been gone for awhile, see we got some new members :clap: Welcome all. Hope everyone is doing good and the pork rinds still tasty. Sorry to hear about all the crappy weather back east guys, just warm out here. But have been out a couple of times, the old barracuda is kickin a**!
  Computer broke down on me so haven't been able to get on here and keep on eye on you all, but looks like your still being good and we are growing so I'm going back to my rinds and getting my gear ready for the a.m. Hope I get  a big un. Lol

I have discovered even something better than pork-rinds and it's not for the faint of heart.........Pickled pork-rinds!!!!!   Guaranteed to offend and disgust first try!!!!!!   Make sure to embellish while eating and you'll make many friends lol  Pure Fat goodness!!   They give me the energy to drill 100 holes with my ESKIMO and help me cope with the ethanol hatred!   :roflmao: :roflmao:

Attaboy, KK!!!! With those, ya GOTTA throw in some whole pickled eggs and Herring....the staple of every bar in Northern Minnesota!!  My Dad used to chow down pickled pig's feet...no kidding. Never had the kahona's to try those, though!! :sick: Do love the herring, though. My jar is about empty right now...time for some more.
Maybe you could strain the juice and use it combat that evil ol' ethanol...you'd be famous!! :roflmao: :roflmao:
