Title: Moosehead Smelt

I’ll be going up to Moosehead later this month. Is it possible to jig some for smelt for bait or for food ? They are delicious.

Moosehead is closed to the taking of smelts.   If you catch any you have to throw them back.

That is what I thought. A friend of mine said that they opened back up to hook and line. Thanks.
