Decisions
« on: Dec 28, 2013, 07:20 PM »
I got a 28" med light Fenwick rod recently and am having a hard time figuring out how to set it up.

I've got two light action reels-
Shimano Syncopate
2-6lb test
better brand
1 spool
heavier larger
or
Okuma Avenger
2-6lb test
a little cheap
2 spools
light small
Which should be my ice reel? Which should be my open water trout reel?

I most often fish for (in order) bass, perch, panfish, trout, pickerel/pike, and catfish- so what lb line should I put on the reel?
I'm a tip up guy, so any help is greatly appreciated.

I'd opt for the Avenger 10, Syncopates seem cheaply made; no anti reverse(?)

Thanks, what about line?

2-3 # panfish

6# for larger fish

Consider braid with fluorocarbon leader...
