the best way to set um up

O.K.I'm looking for suggestions on setting up my tip ups when going for walleye,I've been doing o.k but want to do better.I m looking for tip up rigging and the best eay to set depth,also what is the best depths over the course of the season.I mostly fish north twin lake in northern wisco.

Are you fishing day or night?  During the day I would set up deeper with the baits 12" or so off the bottom. At night I would move shallower (on a break) and put my baits 3 feet or so off the bottom. 3-4" emerald shinners.
