10 mile lake
« on: Dec 28, 2013, 12:36 AM »
I was wondering how the fishing on 10 mile is
I'm new to town and need some pointers to where on the lake
To fish
And what kind of hook people use

Thanks

Alex

Lots of posts on here about ten mile.  Try a search you will find good info.

Kokanee like flash.  Go by a shiny fst or something similar and small jig 12-18 inch below.  Buy a pack of pink berkley gulp maggots and you are good.  U must jig or u will get skunked.

Check out the attached video of ten mile

It should be good-  Ness Lake in PG has been producing limits (10 fish) in an hour and a half to two hours for the last month.  Almost all the fish are 12-13 inches - perfect panfry-  very few people out there fishing.  ???

Hmm
Very few out fishing little tiny fish ...although I like to fish for them, perhaps the Kokanee are not the savior to ice fishing as hoped.

givem a couple more years and they will grow! Good to see they are doing well and are being stocked in many lakes very recently now. Even West lake they put a wack load of them in this year..

I think they are great, I'm just not sure that they'll gain the interest that was hoped for ...at least they are trying something productive I suppose

If guys can dial into them the action can be fast and hot when they school around. In the cariboo they have been doing it for a while and i think they figure its good for anglers with pretty decent success.
I think they eat different food sources as the other fish i heard which is also good.
