Well now that I'm back up north, I'm hoping to catch a 20lb lake trout (let alone my first laker)  as well as land a placing for burbot. The lakes near by only have those two of decent size so I'm a bit limited, but shouldn't be on the potential of the size of the fish.

Add on the fishing trip up to Swan Lake I'm hoping to get my first double digit pike and first walleye.

Should be a great year!
There's always a bigger fish... and I'm going to get it!

Hmm, hitting Burbot hard in late January, and to pull a double digit 'bow through the ice at a certain lake south of PG... Oh, and a slab laker in Cluculz. Local lakes are my focus this season.

Well. i really want to get some Awesome icefishing footage. topwater and underwater.  i'd like to land another 22 inch brookie (i got a secret tip on a lake that holds hogs) and now that i got the trail cut into SOOT  Lake no doubt I'll do my best to land a 40 inch laker. Oh...... and to leave my kids home because they always kick my butt :(

Just to get out more often in the company of friends and hounds. I'd like to fish 20 days. That's my goal.
The trips ...exercise, clean crisp air, scenery, snow are as important to me as the fishing these days.

Hoot lake is just a fairy tale lake- doesnt actually exist ;)

Sure hope the access stays good this year or will be a tuff go getting into the good Laker lakes..
Them bigger bows in the lake south of us are getting very hard to catch in recent years. I think certain lakes are getting fished out as it seems there are less fish and the average fish sizes are much smaller   :( :(
Some people mite have to be super secretive on where the bigger fish are taken- or just not show any pix in the future, for me i havent decided on this yet this season.. :-\

Can I get an "AMEN" on that brother.  Loose lips kill lakes,  or is it......  loose lips sink ships?    whatever   :-\

Hope to catch a fish bigger than 13"... really limited this year in where i can go, basically i have to stick to the merrit area, my best chance will be tunkwa lake, and i have a 4 day trip planned to paradise lake, which has island lake right beside it that is supposed to have 1-3 lb fish.

My goal this year is a laker through the ice, and a double digit rainbow from deifenbaker, I've crossed one thing off my list, first tiger trout and through the ice, was a nice 18 incher, crazy fight with the little UL and 4 lbs braid.

Thanks, my buddy caught one about a month ago while shore fishing one of our favourite spots, fish was 28 long with a 20 inch girth, looked like a silver watermelon with fins.

Once it freezes up, I'm out hunting for my Bertha!
