Today we got out for an adventure. loaded up the sleds and went to a small lake we have visited in the summer, that has produced well during those times. we rode 20km by snowmobile to find three feet of snow around the lake. The ice was thick (14inches?) but had about a foot of slush on it. Snowed the whole time we were there it was ugly conditions in the sky and on the ice so it was a short day...
I suspect the snowfall we had this past week is causing most lakes to be slushy. anyone get out today notice the same thing or different?
