I am at 25 I need to catch up. If I went shallow when you guys went I would be closer. One more fish after you guys left.

Fished Forest Bay today from 6:30am till 2. Had 8 tip ups out there with a buddy plus some jigging. Caught 0, 2 flags triggered but nothing to report. I feel like I'm wasting my time at the north end of the lake. Although.....I wasn't able to get any deeper than 40-50' deep off a point because the middle was wide open on saturday and froze up for sunday. Not safe yet. Ice in friends pt bay was 6-7" thick with Forest bay being more like 5" thick. Frustrated beyond belief. I have no vexilar or anything i'm just finding the bottom and sending a tip up down there 2' off the bottom with a good size shiner on the hook. Do i want small shiners or larger ones for lakers? Do i want enough weight on the line to pin the line down on the bottom or just enough to get the line down deep?

The bite in Harris has been Hot! 35fow - weed beds - brown or black flies that look like freshwater shrimp and something shiny to get it down there.  I know it didnt happen unless you have pics...will try to post.. Limit Plus on Friday and Two limits Plus today...same set up. Good luck.

Anyone been up around Blairs Bay lately? Huletts has plenty of ice, just looking for some deeper water.

No finicky bite today.  3 or 4 at a time showing up on the vex, practically fighting for the jig.  Went 26 for 39.  Sorry Mealworm had to bump the total up a bit.  ;D  Bit of a whiteout this morning, followed by sleet then a little rain.  Interesting the sleet acted as a sand blaster and helped blow some more snow off.  Still drifts and clear ice areas.

I'll vouch for Jon, I was not far off, I landed 19, I tried to beat mealworm's best yesterday, my yearly total is now 43. I had a slow start but today gave me a jump. I have some pics but was really too busy to keep breaking out the camera.
