I'll take the snow dump! There is hardly enough snow to get off the lake to play. The weather looks better towards the end of the week.

I'll take the snow too Terry, I was bouncing off boulders all over the place last week, you can have our frigid temps in trade.   ;D

I dont mean to butt in on your guys fun, but I have no choice when there are no other trout categorys brook trout are few and far between on the big lake. I will have to try to put wisconsin on the map for lake trout. I thought there was a rainbow category but I guess just for youth. I will see if I can get a nicer laker out of lake superior for you laker nuts here is a pic of a rainbow or steel head i c&r this weekend on LS

Not that I know of. I'm sure you can catch some lakers up there somewhere but I haven't heard of anyone ever catching a sizeable laker from up there.

I don't fish for lake trout but I would suggest you to quit fishing for little brook trout and start walking the talk with these 35 lb lake trout you speak of.

Wyoming appears to be walking the talk thus far and they don't even have anywhere near the number of lakes or laker sizes we have.... yet are posting up very nice fish.

Yeah Hally I think you need to convince others to come along. Your dad seems to not get out as much as you like. I can take you as can Ise. ;)

I'm not sweating the laker thing yet as last year Fish-slayer and I went into a hot spot and only fished a day and caught a 41.5 inch beauty. Might have to go back there. This same thing happened last year where BC wasn't posting and they thought we were sand bagging but we came thru in the end. I don't expect this year to be different in the outcome. Nice to see them putting on the pressure though.
I'm hitting a laker lake this weekend so plan on challenging that 38" that was posted.

You know what they say about rooting for the underdogs

The pink mohawk was hilarious.

I'd sure like to see Wyoming put a 40" plus up on the board this weekend to put the added pressure you fellow BC'ers.

I'm just waiting for the days to get a little longer, warmer and a couple of ice roads to open then it's game on.   ;D
I know of several lakes that produce 40 to 50 inch fish in the area. I just need to connect with one.
2 summers ago there was a 45# fish caught on one of the lakes right off the road outside of town. So I know they are there.   ;)2

Still looking for fish like these through the ice.

Gonna try and recapture that 44" pike this weekend so I can get a shot of it with the tape not flipped over.  :-[

Well, this lake is about half the distance you guys are travelling, and i it has much easier access! and is small enough to concentrate the fish in a smaller area.  ;)

41lbs was the NYS record caught in 2003, so they are out there.  ;)

nope  :( unfortunatly my dad is not gungho enough to drive to these lakes. I have depth charts and everything. But the worst part is you need a sled to acces manyt of these lakes, and that we don't have!
