Long weekend, long lakers and pike.

Was an adventerous 3 day weekend.  Saturday a friend and I ran all the way up to the Canadian border for some pike.  Pike we had, granted most of them were rats so I didnt take pictures.  We had flags constantly to a point where eating became difficult.  Sadly, I forgot about the snow storm and returned home 25 hours after we left. 

The largest from Saturday was a bit underwelming:



Sunday was a family day,  followed by a laker smack down Monday.  I had time to take some pics: 











Landed 14 and missed quite a few.  Back at it this weekend.

I’m curious. What’s the largest laker you’ve gotten up north this year? Average size? Nice looking fish.

Killerfish the largest for me right now is 30".  My average over 92 lakers so far this season would be 25-26".

Matt the pike were on a giant weedy flat in 8 feet of water.  Spot I noticed in the boat in October.
