New pb perch and slow day

Was on my reservoir today for about 6 hours not a single flag except after it started to get dark I got 3 flags all perch and everyone told me perch shut down last hour of the day ha they were wrong or I was lucky he was 13.5 inches and 1.6 pounds also the fattest I've ever seen
