Mankato Area Spearing spots?

I gave spearing a couple tries last season, with a couple misses, but may try again. Does anyone have any suggestions what lakes to try in the Madison Lake/Elysian Area? I know a couple lakes with clear water, but, being a total noob to spearing, I'm open to any suggestions from any dark house pros.
